Cousin Becky = The adult with red hair. Lovable, wonderful, and all around amazing. Ever want to feel lazy? Sit in the middle of a conversation between someone training for a marathon (Jo), and someone who regularly does Triathlons (Becky).
Child Caleb = The male child with red hair. I want to say...3ish years old? Quiet, content, his own self.
Child Bethany = The female child with red hair. 6 years old. What JonJo have to look forward to. Kylie met her match, they were two peas in an explosive pod.
It was pretty easy to see who belongs to who. Becky's husband, Matt (in Wyoming at the moment, getting the house ready for them all to move), also has red hair. The rest of us are blonde with blue eyes. Go Scandinavia!
First stop, meet up at the fountain.
The girls have the same love of bags/purses. Kylie muscled her way into Bethany's.
Then off to the beach. That look Bethany has? Kylie's got the exact same one.
Then Jonathan met us at Pizza Luce for lunch. My favorite place to eat in Duluth. The girls started playing together.
Then all three played nicely separately.
Then...well...everyone wanted the same toys. There was some separation of children, an a whole lot of prayers for the food to hurry up and come already!
Finally. Baked Potato, Gluten Free Pizza. My favorite.
And that brought our day to a close. Becky, being the brilliant mom she is, tricked the kids into a picture together by "measuring" how tall they are.
I'm starting to put some weight to the theory that kids related to me in general are more tolerable. I really enjoyed both Bethany and Caleb, though had it not been four adults to three children I may have felt differently. All in all, another positive interaction with family!
