Zoo

Another example of me thinking I'm brilliant, then being proven wrong by Kylie. I think I'm going to be brilliant and take Kylie to the Zoo. Every kid loves the zoo, right? Right?? I mean, Pinterest will back me up on this, so it's gotta be fact. Unless you're dealing with Kylie.

She spent a few minutes with the "monkeys."

She had no interest in going outside to see anything, but spent a moment looking at the bear. This bear was eating corn, and came up and licked the ground near the glass. It was stinking right there! She glanced over, but had no interest.

She would rather pretend to read her Bible. We sat there for a good half hour, her ignoring the bear and just hanging out.

Then we made it a few benches down, and she wanted to eat her snack and lay down. What the what? No, she wasn't sick.

Thank goodness there was a park. One inside the zoo, one outside. We spent a bit of time there.

This is the post-flood park. Not too much to play on, and surrounded by dirt, but enough to keep her occupied for a bit. The rest of the zoo was fully recovered, with the exception of the polar bear exhibit. That was still shut down for repairs.

Oh well, another lesson in the school of Kylie: the moment I think I may know something about children is the same moment I am wrong. I'm ok with it :-)
