Farm

As part of our CSA (community supported agriculture) we have a working share; we take an afternoon to go help with harvest, packing, or other chores needing to be done. We truly look forward to this each year. We love the local connection and want the girls to understand where our food comes from. Apparently our farmers love us, too, as we are some of the longest standing members and aren't the typical "hippy dippy" type. That cracked me up.

 

Not too sure about all those chickens...mom doesn't blame her! They thought Jon's shoelaces were worms!

Obviously she didn't mind too much...one on one!

Packing up tomatoes and also filling all 75 boxes with yummy, fresh veggies!

 Sophie hung out a while while we worked.

Kylie got a little bored in the midst of it all and tended to "her baby" (her baby of choice changes almost daily). We got back to the car to find this. 

Ending the afternoon with some fun cruising around the farm. She loved it. And yes, her wrist bands were her choice, of course. Not sure of her intention there!
