Last weekend we went to the lakewalk to practice in Kylie's new bike; much easier where it's flat and smooth than around here! The scenery was interesting that day, too! She pretty much has the bike figured out, although breaking needs to be learned yet (she currently adheres to the practices of Fred Flinstone). Which was demonstrated when she went down a slight incline with me chasing her to get control again. Instead of being scared, she was giggling hysterically, not watching at all where she was going. Luckily it ended well.
Yesterday Kylie had her 4 year check up. Pretty boring, which is good. Many people have commented on how much taller she seems which makes sense now; 65% for height and 45% for weight. Not quite the peanut she used to be, but is looking good and proportional.
Today we had a role reversal; Abby and Toby came here for a few hours. Aside from a few (expected) fits, it was wonderful. I got a ton of stuff done and Kylie was happily occupied. It was a win-win for everybody and I hope we can do that again soon (hint hing, Dave and Fae!). Among my favorites of overhead conversations was:
A: I really want the pink one.
K: But I really want the pink one.
A: Well, I think I like pink more. And I was born first.
How's that for logic?
