This and That

Kylie is finally getting better...sort of. She's still not eating and drinking much, but certainly more than she was just a few days ago. She had good distraction this weekend with Auntie Ginger and our family friend Laura. They babysat Saturday night while we went on a date and even stayed home with her this morning while we went to church. It was great! Auntie brought a birthday present for Kylie which is really cool- many things all in one toy. And it stores nice and compactly which is bonus for mom and dad.


Last week we had some friends over for dinner. At that point, Kylie was improving and her little pal Matea was just coming down with some crud. So we all got together and had a germ sharing fest....here are the girls hanging on the couch. Matea was like that for probably 45 minutes. In hindsight, Aaron and Katie were forewarned it would be a long few days with a sick child:-) She's doing better now, too.


I tried having Kylie color for the first time. Let's just say we'll try again in about a month. She just got mad because I wouldn't let her eat the crayons. She's having enough digestive issues, no need to add colored wax to the deal.

And finally, we found out Kylie loves prunes. Or at least today she did. We had to cut her off for fear of what my morning gift would be, but hopefully they help get things regulated a bit.

The next week or two may be a challenge with Kylie...we had her almost totally weaned from both formula and the bottle...and then she got sick. One of the only ways we could get liquid in her was resorting to both of those. She's just not a huge fan of the sippy cup, but she's going to have to learn to deal. As the days pass, we're less concerned about her staying hydrated. So tough love will prevail:-)
