For those of you who have had the privilege of flying out of the Duluth "International" Airport, you know some of the drawbacks. These include no biffies after you get through security, the TSA thinking they are the coolest people ever, and having almost no direct flights. However, here is a major pro (in a choppy timeline):
12:55 scheduled flight to MSP, boarding at 12:25.
At 12:05 I was still in the car wash about 5 minutes away from the airport. I was admittedly getting a bit concerned that I had made a really dumb decision, but quickly reassured myself I'd make it without a problem.
12:10: Pull into the parking lot at the airport, walk briskly to THE security line, get through with my 101 electronics and 3:1:1 liquid bag, and sitting in a chair ready to board by....
12:17.
Yes, you read correctly as it took me 7 minutes from car to chair. Come on, where else can you get that? I should have taken another 2 minutes to run to the bathroom and instead waited for the MSP airport. As a side note, it was Jon's car I put through the wash since it was warm (thinking he would really appreciate that), not realizing if it wasn't warm enough to dry right, I'll have frozen doors when I get back to Duluth Friday night at 11! Wish me luck.
Anyway, the travels out here (San Diego) were uneventful, but long. I almost took a bump to a later flight for a travel voucher due to an overbooked flight, but decided $300 and some food wasn't enough for me to lose anymore sleep. And the clueless guy next to me didn't understand my body language telling him to stop talking and stay out of my personal space (I was grossly involved in my novel!). Really, I was either being bumped by him or by the beverage cart being led by the attendant telling me to get out of her way. The joys of air travel. I have a new appreciation for Jon who always is my buffer between me and whatever is annoying, usually another passenger. Miss you babe:-)
Kylie had a little incident last night. I guess she woke up around 9:30 and puked all over her crib, herself, and her floor. She seems to have been fine during and since. I talked to Fae today and she said Kylie is getting extremely snotty again with a constantly runny nose so she's wondering if she maybe gagged on all of the crap in her throat. She has eaten and slept fine today so hopefully it was just a fluke.. Funny she's never thrown up before and the day I leave town.....go figure.
Anyway, blah blah. That is the Thompson update for now. More to come this weekend.

It never fails right. The second one of you goes out of town. Just like here Emily got her first ear infection because Daddy's out of town. Murphy's law!!!
Ohhhh, poor baby!!! I have the picture from the last post of her with cake all over herself, looking up at something looking so cute an innocent on my background at work. I cannot get over how amazingly CUTE she is!! Ugh! No one else can either. And yes, most people at work still know her as Baby Nojo :)
oh wow Ginger, I totally forgot about Nojo! Ha! 7 minutes is amazing. "gotta love it!" ;)
Hope she doesn't get sick anymore:-( I can imagine having a sick baby at home makes it hard to be away!
The Sioux Falls airport is the same way, LOVE IT!
Glad to here you got there ok! Too bad Kylie got sick! I hate it when they puke in the crib!
