So Much to Talk About!

Kylie has been a busy little girl. We went to New Ulm over the weekend to visit grandma's and grandpa's and go to a wedding (the best man from our wedding got married). The wedding was in Fairmont so we brought Kylie to meet one of her great-grandma's for the first time. Jonathan's grandma is 93 and Kylie is her first great-grandchild. She was absolutely thrilled to hold Kylie and was beaming the entire time. Apparently she was still talking about Kylie on Sunday. Kylie was quite the little trooper as our weekend got long and we were in the car a lot. Unfortunately, she doesn't sleep very well or long in the car so we just made do. All she wanted to do on Monday was sleep; we had to wake her for every single feeding!

Monday was our anniversary and Jon surprised me be taking off of work and staying home. It was great! We got a few things done in the morning and went out for breakfast. He had a babysitter lined up for the afternoon when we went golfing and out for dinner. Golfing is quite possibly the dumbest thing ever invented. I decided it's only for patient people who enjoy frustration...I don't fit into that category. It stunk. I didn't get a picture of the two of us, but I looked something like this:But we did have some good laughs and luckily neither of us are very good so we were in good company! I'm guessing the people who drove by and watched me THROW my ball toward the hole are still laughing. It was a good time for us to get away and his thinking ahead and planning the day mean more than what we actually did.

Finally, today I took Kylie is for a couple more shots (we're spacing them out) and a weight check. The shots went fine and she barely even whimpered (we told her ahead of time real girls don't cry.....JUST KIDDING!). She still isn't gaining much as she weight in at 11lbs 8oz. But she is gaining. The nurse said she'll report to the MD and will call on Friday. That is an 8oz gain in 12 days which is good for Kylie, still on the low end overall. She's been happier and feeding well so I'm not that concerned at this point.

There is a brief (believe it or not) synopsis of our lives lately. This week we're enjoying the absolutely gorgeous weather we've been waiting for!

Those pictures of Kylie with her great-grandma are priceless. I'd love to see a picture of Jon with his Grandma and compare the two!
