It's official, Kylie will be attending Lakeview Christian Academy in the fall. It was a long and difficult decision making process, but today we enrolled her in the 20th and final spot of her class. Never did we think we'd even be considering a private school option, but given all the circumstances, it's definitely the best fit for her. We have no doubt she'll excel while being held to a very high standard. We'll reevaluate again in a year to decide if it continues to be the best option for her and us.
I took her for her 5 year well-child checkup today which went well. She's 47% for weight and 65% for height which explains why people thinks she looks so tall! She does still have a lingering ear infection from weeks ago that apparently doesn't want to clear on its own. So we returned home with her first ever round of antibiotics! We made it 5 years, guess we can't complain! She also had 2 shots and was a champ about it as usual (has yet to cry for a shot since birth!). Pretty strange, though- her next shots won't be until she's ELEVEN. Whoa. That means pre-teen (aka mama is moving OUT!).
In other news, her room is being worked on as I type this. I hope to have carpet chosen by the end of the week, then paint within a week or two, followed by carpet installation. Then voila, her big sister room will be close to completion. One more thing off the monster to-do list.
Including naming Bambino.

Oooooo, what a teaser at the end! Why don't you just delegate some of that list? For example, I am sure Kylie and I could come up with a slam bang name for #2. We are very creative. I mean, come on, Goldilocks? Spot on!
