Babies

Kylie is usually pretty on/off with babies, but lately she's been playing with them quite a bit. We have found she lacks the ability or desire to name things including babies, fish, etc. They are usually named the obvious: "baby", "fish", "lamb", etc. Monday's are show and tell at school which she looks forward to and decided to bring a baby. As we're sitting there waiting for school, I told her the teacher and kids would likely ask what baby's name is. Without skipping a beat she looks at her baby and says, "Goldilocks!"

Clearly an appropriate name for this baby, whose 10 hairs have also been styled by Kylie's hair ties and clips. I took these pictures on her bed which she has quit sleeping in all together and reverted to the toddler bed. She will use the big girls bed "once the baby comes" I guess. I assured her once her new room is done, she will want to sleep in her big bed!

Speaking of, here is her mess of a new big sister room! Major damage to one and a half of the plaster walls is resulting in some major deconstruction which she is helping Jon with. She got her tools out and went to town; right up her alley to destroy things! I'm hoping her room is done within about a month, it drives me completely crazy if I think about it too much. All this transition is about to kill me!
