Ears Pierced!

Kylie has been asking for probably over a year to have her ears pierced and that was her consistent answer when asked about what she wanted for her birthday. It took me about the same amount of time to convince her daddy that we should go ahead and do it; he was not having it. He finally obliged about 2 days before her birthday and admitted he still wasn't really onboard, but was OK enough to let me do it!

When we walked into the store and inquired about piercing, the clerk said "Yes, we pierce ears, but I'm here alone." My blank stare must have been a dead giveaway because several awkward seconds later she said, "That means we have to do one at a time. If you think she can handle that, we're good." In my head I'm thinking, "Are you kidding? I think my kid is part steel."

Waiting patiently...

 She did have a moment of hesitation after the entire process was explained to her, but not enough to not go through with it!

That night we had Abby and Toby over for pizza and cupcakes. She was pretty excited to show Abby her ears!
