Auntie Jeri's

I decided to make a quick trip down to Winona on Thanksgiving. Jon had to work Friday and always seems to enjoy the house to himself so we had a nice non-traditional Thanksgiving Day lunch then Kylie and I took off. It was her first trip to Winona...something I've been avoiding largely because of her inability to travel long distances without making me want to drive off a cliff. The last two trips to Grandma's have been great so I figured I'd give it a whirl with this one being slightly longer.

We headed to the Children's Musuem in LaCrosse which was more fun for Justin and Becca than Kylie. I thought she'd have a blast, but alas, I was once again proven wrong as she seemed more intrigued by trying to find exits and fire alarms (we avoided actually pulling any) than playing with the intended exhibits. We also decided to bake and decorate Christmas cookies which Kylie thouroughly enjoyed! And it was a success! Kylie did amazing in the car- something I just can't quite get over given the screaming we used to endure while traveling. I was able to call her bluff about 50 miles outside of Duluth when she claimed she had to got potty, but I was about 90% sure it was a ploy to get out of the car. I decided to keep going and by the time we got home...she was still dry and didn't even mention needing to go potty;-)

Oh man, I just had another one of those moments when I realize, she just got older! You know, that moment you realize she's a toddler, not a baby any more? It was like that, but now she's almost three. Big girl now. Ufdah. Miss you guys.

Glad she enjoyed the cookie decorating. They start getting into the holiday stuff around that time! And how nice that she can tolerate the car better. We experienced a little of those dreaded car trips too, not fun.
