The title of my post is meant to be taken both literally and figuratively. Mama always said "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." Oh how pertinent that is when it comes to our naughty, testy, moody 2 year old. Every smile we get out of her is like a ray of sunshine that hasn't been happening all too often, until recently. I honestly haven't had much good to say so I've held off on posting.

Put simply, Kylie has absolutely exhausted us lately, more emotionally than physically. I would guess it's a combination of: being 2, having quite a stubborn personality, and testing testing testing (particularly since we came home from vacation). In her defense, I've been gone an awful lot lately (New Ulm, Las Vegas, and the West Coast...all back-to-back) and apparently she's checking to see if the rules are the same as before all my travels. We're learning just how important consistency is! The last several days have shown a drastic improvement for which we are quite thankful...we'll enjoy it until the next major bump in the road:-)

To hold you over, these are a few pix Katie took while she had Kylie at her house for a few hours last week. For whatever reason, Kylie was looking nervous- weird.

Well if it makes ya feel any better, we've got a naughty, moody, testy 4 year old on our hands and I'm right there with you - emotionally exhausted most days. It's amazing how something so small can wreak so much havoc!! Praying she makes a quick transition to a more manageable stage - and that 3 isn't worse than 2 like we found. :( Love the pics!!
