Superbowl and 3 Answers

Well, I'm so happy that I don't have to find something else to do while Jon, Troy, and Hilary watch the Superbowl on Sunday! We'll be taking in the game in San Juan as we'll be setting sail later that night. Not sure where this snuggly kid came from...

Funny story...you all know, of course, that I wouldn't watch any Viking's games. So I was on the computer in the front room while Jon watched the game in the family room. I'd occasionally hear hooting and hollering and I finally asked if it was almost over when he reported OT. Next thing I know, the TV was off and he was outside shoveling. I knew the game outcome pretty quickly based on his response! Oh well, there's always next year (for those who care anyway). I'm sure Farve will change his mind 10 times about playing between now and then (part of my problem with him). Answer #1: No, I will not watch if he's still on the team. Nope, nada, zilch.I came home and found this...somehow Jon got Kylie to sit in front of the game, reading books, for what he claims was 15 minutes. Her favs right now are "Elbow" (Elmo) books.

Answer #2...yes, we are the horrible, terrible, no-good, rotten parents who will miss their only child's 2nd birthday. In our defense, we 100% agreed this will be the only time we can do this since she will have no clue it's her birthday, but will understand the birthday concept beginning next year. And in Jon's defense, he had more concern about booking over her birthday than I did. Hmmm.

Kylie will be in wonderful care, starting off at Dave and Fae's (where she goes when I work) and then at home with Grandma Lyla. Answer #3: I'll repeat from last year...this is not a vacation intended to give Kylie a souvenir in the form of a sibling. So for those of you who haven't asked, you don't need to.

Stay warm...we will!

1. You and Jon look great in your pre-cruise tans. Very nice!

2. If you had a kid for every cruise you went on, and/or trip to Mexico, I'd have to move back to help! Plus, all the cruises to come, it'd be like Octo-Mom or something.

3. Could you actually hear the small sigh of disappointment before Jonathan shut the TV off, or just feel it?
