Merry Christmas (part 2)

Another Christmas has come and gone! This was by far the quietest holiday we've had since being married and I'm not going to lie...it was nice! It was a little strange not being around a ton of family (Auntie Ginger made it) but relaxing at the same time. The forecast was such that I thought I'd be able to call all our peeps in Southern MN and brag about getting less snow....but once again we were the butt of the nation's joke with the snowfall so we just hunkered down and stayed home for days. We ventured out for the first time with the car on Saturday night and managed to get stuck 3 times as our mid-size car is no match for the heavy snow and hills around here! Oh well, it's all decently plowed now which makes life much easier.

Ginger has many more pictures on her camera that we weren't able to download yet so there may be more pictures to come later. We stayed busy playing games, eating, watching movies, eating, snowshoeing (Christmas present from Jon's mom and Peter!!!), eating, going to Bentleyville (light display by the lake), eating, and just relaxing.

Traditional Swedish fare for our Christmas dinner (eaten in our snugglies since none of us got dressed that day!)...potato sausage and rice w/ lingenberries. Plus mashed potatoes and green beans.

Yes, Lyla, this is Jon putting HOT SAUCE on his potato sausage....
Hope everybody's Christmas was a good one!
