We had a wonderful long weekend filled (but not too full!) with fun activities. Picnics, BBQ's, a bon fire, playgrounds, etc. many of those with friends. These are a random assortment of pictures including Kylie's first popsicle- she totally didn't get it. She was getting mad that it dripped and was cold in addition to thinking she could suck the stick to enjoy it. Weird. And she did NOT want correction or help.
Otherwise we did a lot of playing and enjoying the picture perfect weather. We were going to practice tenting in the backyard, but decided against that when we saw the boys next door come home with 2 1/2 cases of beer and set up "yard games". They ended up being quiet by 10, but that still wouldn't have worked for Kylie's 8pm bedtime!
I ran in the house for maybe two minutes and this is what I saw:
Today Kylie and I took Anna and Eva out for ice cream before they head back to school. These are the girls I took care of FOUR years ago already...they're getting so big! They're always so fun to have around and easy to take care of. We enjoyed the park for a bit, too, before bringing them home.
Finally, I was telling my mom today that I'll need to buy Kylie a different jacket and snowpants for this year and return the one I got on clearance last year. My mom said, "You never know, she could have a growth spurt." I'm thinking a truckload of Popeye's spinach wouldn't solve this one! I laughed so hard- she looks like an astronaut.
