Update

Those who know me well laugh at my germ phobia. I'm never far from hand sanitizer or soap and water. I've actually been pretty relaxed about the whole swine flu thing (excuse me, H1N1 Novel Influenza Virus), joking with my friends that they won't see me for a few months because of self imposed social distancing. Our friend Dave sent this yesterday and it made me laugh:Kylie loves to be outside playing where she's getting more curious all the time (translate...we won't be able to relax outside for a long time, especially with a huge hill in front!). On Sunday we took a nice hike up through Chester to the playground. She didn't care for swinging or sliding, but just wanted to walk in the sand and watch the kids. Bad mommy forgot the camera for her first play in the park. We also figured out she's more content in the backpack than in the stroller which is a bummer for me during the days. I don't need the added stress on my back so I may just have to settle for shorter walks with her in the stroller screaming to get out. She biffed it last week in the yard, incurring some temporary battle wounds (it didn't even phase her!):
Kylie has also taken it upon herself to try running everywhere except she ends up on her face each time. It doesn't seem to bother her and of course we just laugh at her. I'll try to video that for the enjoyment of others (or a video of a temper tantrum...whichever comes first). Soon enough we'll be running to keep up, I'm sure. She also cruised up the stairs last night for the first time as if she'd done it a hundred times before.

She continues to love reading, mostly by herself. She's just starting to bring books to us that she'd like us to read to her. We've found she gets hooked on one or two books for a period of time which is developmentally normal, but annoying as ever. I can only read the same lame peek-a-boo baby book so many times in a day without going nuts. But I just smile and read it- she loves it! I've also noticed her watching my lips more during reading so she's certainly working on her speech...any day.

And finally, she's learning how to shake her booty...
