New Favorite

St. Patrick's Day is officially my favorite holiday. After giving it some thought, it's the perfect holiday for the following reasons:
1) The supposed meaning of it is kind of cool
2) It means spring and summer are "just around the corner"
3) There are no expectations on this day....just fun. No crazy family get togethers (apologies to our now offended families), no traveling, no schedules to juggle, etc. We stay home and have a reason to throw a party. I love being home and I love having people over.

Really, the whole "party" started b/c some friends of ours has a little house fire and are temporarily displaced. We wanted to have them over for dinner since they're living at a hotel and it basically escalated from there. I decided we would have an all green food party. And green party we had. Katie has MUCH cooler pictures, I'm sure, but here is a glimpse of our fun last night!Because of my new enthusiasm for this great day, Kylie and I went shopping today....for next year. I scored at Michael's where they had everything 50-60% off. Next year the party will be even better...and those not wearing green will be turned away at the door:-)
