Smooth Sailing

Many people are wondering how our trip went, but more importantly, how Kylie did without us. The short answers are great and absolutely fine! For the longer version, read on.

The fashion police had the day off....
I cried a bit when we left Kylie and it didn't help that she was starting to cry, which turned out to be quite short lived for both of us. She had fun with grandma and grandpa and apparently spent a lot of her time self-entertaining. She tried new foods (scrambled eggs, tuna casserole, and ice cream...well OK, she's had ice cream before), slept well, and was well behaved. At least that was the report from grandma!

What's most offensive about this picture...the hat, the hairy chest, or the shirt??? Yet he's still cute:-)

On Sunday Fae picked her up to spend a week at their house. She also did just fine there, although they thought there were days here or there she seemed a bit out of it and was maybe wondering what was going on. We (I) did call quite a bit for updates and don't know how well I'd have done if I couldn't have done that. We didn't get quite the response we'd hoped for when we picked her up, but within a few moments she was giggling and looking at us like, "You're finally back!" We both thought she looked different and Jon even thought she sounded different!

We had a lot of fun on the cruise, although I have to say it was cooler than I'd anticipated. Certainly nothing to complain about, but we did spend a ton of time in the hot tubs! We indulged in far too much wonderful food, but somehow made ourselves feel better by only using the elevator twice. Other activities included snorkeling, a zip-line canopy tour, table tennis (the guys) , enjoying shows and comedians, and of course....people watching! This was also the first time we've traveled for an extended time with another couple. Unless they're lying, I'd say we all had a good time and would consider doing it again. There were even talks about where our next cruise might be:-)

Troy wouldn't go near the animals, I would only take pictures, Hilary got cozy with a few, and then there is Jon...

Hopefully I'll be able to post some better pictures once I get more from Lambert's (hint hint Troy!).

Ick!!!!!!! Take that nasty picture of the snake down... I would much rather see Jon, the hairy chest and the D.S. (wink wink) than that nasty thing!!!!!

Seriously the picture of Jon in that hat is priceless. I can see that coming in handy someday!

Sounds like you two had a great time! I'm so jealous! And it turns out kids are pretty resilient, probably more so than her parents;-)

I could live without the snake picture-or just without snakes in general!! Glad to hear you had a good time.
