On Saturday we headed to the cities to celebrate Christmas with my family. It just didn't work out to have it over the actual holiday so we met up at a hotel where we could swim and hangout. Kylie, of course, got indulged with more toys, clothes, and money. Unfortunately, the hot tub was out of commission and the pool was freezing. Aside from being chilly, I really don't think Kylie enjoys big pools yet- she was not impressed! I'm sure grandma and grandpa enjoyed watching all the grandkids play.

Kylie has been struggling to eat anything and isn't actually drinking much either. She started off so well, eating anything we put in front of her. Now she just puts food in her mouth (if we're lucky), then sticks her tongue out and says "blaaaaah." It's extremely funny and annoying and the same time, although quickly heading toward strictly annoying. Her tummy is extremely sensitive to new foods so that has been interesting, too. So we just keep offering and not making a big deal of it. Unless it starts interrupting sleep or she loses weight. And just like napping, she eats really well for Fae. Go figure.

We got home this afternoon and began preparations for our first getaway as a couple since the munchkin was born. Jon and I are going on a Mexican cruise with another couple. All travel included, we'll be gone from Kylie for about 9 days. I'm excited and nervous, but I think Jon is just excited:-) I know it will be harder on me than for Kylie as she'll be in great hands. My mom and Jerry will come to take care of her at our house Friday-Sunday and then Dave and Fae will take her for the remainder of our trip. Considering how well she eats and sleeps at Fae's, she may be a really well-rested and chunky girl upon our return! We look a little different than our first cruise 3 years ago!

YAHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Only 4 days to go until my parents get stuck with those Lambert's & the party starts for me!!!!!!
fun picture of you and Jon! Christmas is FINALLY over for you guys. :-)
It's so worth it to get away just the 2 of you! It was such a treat last year when we left Jack and went to Hawaii. I felt guilty until we were on the airplane about 15 minutes and then I thought what a disaster this could have been had he come along! I really appreciated him when we got back, so you'll have that to look forward to. Have fun!!
Enjoy your time away. Everyone deserves a break from it all once in a while, even moms! You'll come back refreshed. I love those green jammies Kylie's wearing in the pictures! I'm a sucker for cute jammies, I love how cozy kids look in them! Have a great time next week.
