Kylie did quite well for her first Thanksgiving. It was a lot of driving and since she doesn't sleep much, if at all, on long car rides, we were unsure as to how things would go. But she remained pretty happy for all the visiting and waited to get tired and crabby until we got home! She really enjoyed all the yummy food, gobbling up all the flavors she doesn't usually get. She even had a taste of pumpkin pie, although didn't care too much about that. She was all about the mashed potatoes and stuffing.
On Friday, we went to visit Santa. Although she's crying in the picture, she never even saw Santa. She's crying because I set her down and walked away- she didn't even turn around to see who had her. She's hit quite the separation anxiety which seems to be worse some days than others. I have to admit- walking into Fae's (her babysitter) house and having her see me is great.
She hasn't quite figured out how to crawl everywhere yet and prefers to stick to short distances. Her new favorite thing is standing on anything; she can pull herself up on a few things, but mostly seems to appreciate being placed on anything stable.
Wednesday was Jon's birthday...30 nonetheless! We didn't actually do too much with it being in the middle of the week. And this weekend we'll brave the cold and pick out our tree.
