the sun DID shine in Duluth, MN. We just can't remember when. Evidence is in one of Kylie's pictures, though, where she's wearing short sleeves and a sun hat (and looking as thought somebody is goosing her)!

We're not so patiently waiting for nicer weather that is being promised to us in week to come. We'll see. Our furnace was even needed for the past two days as our house got down to 60. I simply don't remember a summer like this in Duluth. It warrants moving. We're headed to southern MN this weekend where it's bound to be at least a little bit nicer.

I just want to thank you for putting your
(detailed) experience up. You have a beautiful little girl!
I am newly pregnant and already looking into the option of a home water birth. I am from Superior and wish that our hospitals were a little more accommodating -I wish they offered birthing tubs and I wonder if a midwife can actually deliver in a hospital - I have some more research to do and I'm scared of the no pain meds thing and not being in a hospital if something goes wrong.
But I was hoping I could ask you a slightly personal question - who was your back up doctor and midwife? or do you have any doctor recommendations? I am leaning towards Jana Studelska as a midwife/doula because of her experience - but am really struggling with finding a doctor to see until then etc. if you want to email me you can at gruh0011@d.umn.edu that would be great. Thanks again for sharing.
Carol
